Here are some last photos of the interns and the Fargo trip

Wow! I wouldn't have believed the photo at the top was taken in Minnesota--but I took it myself on Lake Superior. And how about that weird building? It's a modern art museum on UM campus.

Last goodbyes. And one of the last moments as a group in Bailey Hall.

I don't think I've introduced Shawn yet. He's the guy with the Bible. Bye, Shawn!

And bye, Nicole. Hope you had a nice drive.

And now for Fargo...

It's hard to say what's so funny about this city. Maybe it's the name, or the way people say it "Fargooo" (not oo like boo, but like hoe. It helps if you drop your jaw with the o's). Or maybe it's that movie. I was surprised that several Fargoans told me they didn't think they actually talk like the movie showed them. YES, YOU DO!! That's what I told them. Who names their stadium after the city, anyway? Fargodome does have a certain ring to it.

Yup, that statue is in downtown Fargo. Being the upper midwestern art buffs that we are, we couldn't just pass this one by.

Apparently, many Minnesotans thought for a while that this viking spoke the truth. Something about vikings floating up through the great lakes and settling the area prior to Columbus. It must have broken their poor hearts when the guy who made up the story admitted it was't true.

I'll leave you with that bit of Minnesota history. Don't miss "The Voyage Home" coming up next.
